Een nieuw schrijversproject van deBuren en de Stichting Perdu.
deBuren en Stichting Perdu organiseren samen een schrijversproject. Zij nodigen alle burgers van Europa uit om een preambule voor Europa te schrijven.
Uiterlijk 1 oktober 2010 adviseert een staatscommissie het Nederlandse kabinet over de vraag of Nederland zijn grondwet moet wijzigen. Eén van de centrale vragen is of er een zogenaamde preambule nodig is en hoe die moet luiden. Een preambule is een inleidende tekst die voorafgaat aan een wet of verdrag. Een preambule benoemt de filosofie en waarden waarop de wetten zich baseren. De bekendste preambule is die van de VS en begint met ‘We the People of the United States, ...'.
deBuren en Perdu vinden dat wij, de burgers van Europa, de beslissing van de Staatscommissie niet hoeven af te wachten. Ze vroegen de jonge auteurs Andries Zoutendijk, Korneel de Rynck, Xavier Roelens, Vicky Franken, Joost Baars, Ton van 't Hof, Lamia Makaddam en Ernst van den Hemel om een Europese preambule te schrijven. Peter van het project is Europarlementariër Saïd El Khadraouï.
De preambules worden gebundeld in een unieke publicatie die eind september 2010 wordt voorgesteld in Perdu te Amsterdam.
