Op donderdag 25 februari vertrekken 6 jonge internetreporters op een 12 dagen durende trip naar de uithoeken van Europa. Omdat Vlaamse jongeren weinig over Europa weten - en nochtans sterk beïnvloed worden door het Europese klimaat - zullen ze aan de hand van foto's, filmpjes, audio en tekst verslag doen van hun ontdekkingen. Het doel: zoveel mogelijk mensen informeren over wat er in Europa gebeurt voor jongeren. Een ludiek initiatief dat doet denken aan de Courier Challenge die Saïd in 2008 organiseerde. Toen stuurde Saïd vier koerierduo's naar vier Europese steden, om daar de lokale mobiliteit te onderzoeken.
Elke dag geeft een bekende Vlaming de jonge bloggers via een videofilmpje een opdracht mee, die ze tot een goed einde moeten brengen. Onder andere Axl Peleman, Ivo Mechels, Nic Balthazar en niemand minder dan kersvers Europees president Herman van Rompuy geven de jonge snaken een missie mee. Die gaan over milieu, seksualiteit, drugs, integratie en mobiliteit...
Het zestal doorkruist Europa via 8 steden: van Brussel trekken ze achtereenvolgens naar Amsterdam, Helsinki, Tallin, Berlijn, Istanbul, Londen en Lille. Vliegen, varen, lopen, treinen, taxiën: geen moeite is hen te groot.
Op http://www.euroblog.be/ kun je vanaf vandaag hun belevenissen volgen. Vanaf 25 februari komen dagelijks nieuwe tekstjes, filmpjes en audioreportages op het platform terecht. Na de trip wordt http://www.euroblog.be/ de uitvalsbasis voor alle informatie rond jongeren, jeugdwerk en de Europese Unie. Uiteraard wordt alle inhoud crossmediaal verspreid via radio, televisie, internet en alle nieuwe mediaplatformen.
